HOW THE POND WORKS

Every rule, in plain frog. Pick your waters:

01GETTING STARTED

Sign in with your X account — that's the only requirement to play. Your X handle is your identity in the pond and what appears on the leaderboard. No purchases, and no wallet needed until it's time to claim your spot.

Arrived through a friend's invite link? You can claim a +50 $POND welcome bonus — see Referrals.

The campaign runs for 21 days, with a spawn deadline: after day 12 no new tadpoles can be spawned — the remaining time is for finishing the runs already swimming. The countdown on the site is always the truth.

02YOUR THREE TADPOLES

You get 3 tadpoles for the whole campaign — three runs, one alive at a time. When one dies (or survives), you may spawn the next, as long as spawning is still open.

The rule that matters: only your single best run counts. A tadpole lost on day 2 costs you nothing if the next one thrives. An early death is a lesson, not a disaster.

Closed the tab mid-run? Your tadpole waits. Reload and you're back exactly where you left off.

03PLAYING A DAY

Life happens one day at a time. Each game-day brings an event — a snake with a riddle, a tempting snack, a sudden current — and you pick one of the options. Every option shows two things up front:

  • What it might earn — a range of $POND, sometimes negative. Yes, some choices can cost you.
  • How risky it is — a rough danger level. Bolder choices pay more; your tadpole might not make it.

Nothing in the pond is ever perfectly safe: even the most careful option carries a tiny 1% chance of catastrophe. That's pond life. After you choose, the outcome is revealed — tokens gained or lost, and whether your tadpole sees another day. Events never repeat within a run.

04$POND & YOUR SCORE

$POND is the campaign's score currency — points, not a token you buy, sell, or transfer. Your score is built from three layers:

  • Your best run's $POND total — the core,
  • multiplied by your referral boost (up to +30%),
  • plus quest rewards and the welcome bonus on top, un-multiplied.

Your score updates live as your current run progresses — if it's your best run so far, every good day moves you up the board in real time.

05DEATH & SURVIVAL

A run lasts up to 100 game-days. Reach day 100 and your tadpole survives the pond — earning a +250 $POND survival bonus on top of everything it collected. Survivors are rare, and it shows on the board.

If your tadpole dies, you'll see what got it, receive a share card to honor the fallen, and — with tries left and spawning open — the next tadpole awaits.

06PRIVILEGED TADPOLES

Once in a while, the pond blesses a spawn: a privileged tadpole. Pure luck — it can't be bought or chosen, and each player can be blessed at most once per campaign.

A privileged tadpole earns +20% $POND on everything — but the pond expects more from its chosen: every choice becomes a little more dangerous. Higher ceiling, thinner ice. Privileged runs carry a golden marker on the leaderboard.

07JACKPOT DAYS

Rarely, a day brings a jackpot event — an unusual opportunity with outsized rewards. They're infrequent by design; when one surfaces, read it carefully. And yes: privileged tadpoles and jackpots stack, for those the pond truly loves.

08DAILY LIMITS & PACING

The race is a campaign, not a one-night sprint:

  • Each tadpole lives 10 game-days per real day. Hit the cap and the pond rests until midnight UTC — come back tomorrow to continue the same run.
  • A couple of seconds of breathing room is enforced between days. Tap faster and the pond simply asks you to slow down a moment.

So a full 100-day survival takes at least 10 real days of check-ins. Plan around the deadline: runs still alive when the campaign ends stop where they are — the $POND counts, but the survival bonus belongs only to those who reached day 100 in time.

09REFERRALS

Every player gets a personal invite link (Referrals panel on the site).

  • A friend joining through your link does nothing yet — the pond rewards real players, not sign-ups.
  • Your friend qualifies when one of their tadpoles reaches day 50 — at least five real days of actual play.
  • Each qualified friend adds +3% to your gameplay score, up to 10 friends — a max boost of +30%.
  • Your friend gets the +50 $POND welcome bonus for joining through any invite link — claimable once; the first link wins and can't be swapped later.

The referrers' leaderboard is a separate race counting one thing: how many of your invitees qualified. Your $POND score doesn't matter there — pure invite race, Top 20 displayed.

10QUESTS

One-time side rewards, each added flat on top of your score (the referral boost doesn't multiply them):

11LEADERBOARD & TIERS

The main board ranks everyone by score — 50 ranks per page, up to the Top 500, ties broken by who got there first. Your own row is always shown with your live rank, even when you're not on the visible page. Final standings are taken when the campaign ends.

12LINKING YOUR WALLET

To receive your whitelist spot, link the wallet address you'll mint with (there's a +25 $POND quest for it). You can link any time, even after the campaign ends — but no spot can be delivered without a wallet on file.

Triple-check the address: it can be set only once. One wallet per player, one player per wallet. Genuine typo? Contact the team in the official Discord, ready to prove you own the X account you played with.

13FAIR PLAY

The pond watches. All outcomes are decided on our servers — the website only displays them, so "editing the page" edits nothing. Beyond that:

  • One X account per player. Farms of fresh accounts inviting each other are detectable, and referral rewards are reviewed before final allocation.
  • Trust-based quests (shares, follows, reposts) are spot-checked. Claiming without doing can void rewards.
  • Bots and scripted play break the rules. Suspicious accounts can be disqualified from the whitelist entirely — quietly, at allocation time.

Play honestly and none of this concerns you.

??QUICK ANSWERS

Does $POND cost anything? Is it a real token?

No and no. It's the campaign's score points. Playing is completely free.

I closed the tab mid-run. Is my tadpole gone?

No — reload the site and you'll resume exactly where you were, even mid-event.

My internet dropped right as I made a choice.

The outcome was decided and saved the moment you chose. Reload and you'll see the result — including, sadly, if that was the fatal one.

Can I have two tadpoles at once?

No — one alive at a time. The next spawns only after the current one's story ends.

Can I re-do a choice?

No. The pond does not do take-backs.

Do my dead tadpoles' $POND count?

Only your best single run counts toward your score (plus quests, bonuses, and boost). The fallen are remembered, not counted.

When exactly do the daily game-days reset?

Midnight UTC, for everyone equally.

I linked the wrong wallet.

Contact the team in the official Discord from the X account you play with. Handled manually, only with proof of ownership — so really, measure twice.
